Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Zuniva, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the application.

Description of Service

Zuniva is a daily practice space for faith communities featuring Circles for group check-ins, prayer, and encouragement. The optional Gideon AI provides Scripture-based guidance and spiritual support for informational purposes.

Important Disclaimers

Gideon is NOT a replacement for:

Licensed counselors or therapists
Medical or mental health professionals
Pastors or trained clergy for pastoral care
Legal or financial advisors
Emergency services

If you are experiencing a crisis, mental health emergency, or personal danger, please seek immediate help from qualified professionals or emergency services.

User Responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zuniva
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose
You agree not to share highly sensitive personal information

Youth Participation (Ages 13–17)

A Zuniva account requires you to be at least 13. When you sign up you tell us whether you are 13–17 or 18 or older. This is self-reported, and Zuniva does not independently verify age or identity.

Members ages 13–17 participate under these rules:

Circles created by individuals are for adults 18 and older.
Members ages 13–17 may participate only in eligible church-owned Circles that the church has enabled for youth participation.
Members ages 13–17 cannot create Circles and cannot hold Circle or church leadership authority.
A youth-enabled Circle requires at least two active adult leaders appointed by the church.
If qualified adult leadership drops below two, members ages 13–17 keep read access to the Circle, but posting and interaction pause until a second qualified adult leader is in place.
Zuniva does not offer private one-to-one free-text messaging between adults and members ages 13–17. Leaders may send approved encouragement nudges, which are visible to Circle moderators.

Church Responsibility

Zuniva provides product-level safeguards and access controls. Participating churches are responsible for selecting, appointing, screening, training, and supervising their leaders in accordance with the church's own policies and applicable law.

Labeling a user as church-appointed, an adult, or a leader inside Zuniva is an access designation set by the church. It is not a background check, credential verification, ministry certification, training verification, endorsement, or guarantee of a person's suitability to work with minors or anyone else.

Moderation and Reporting

Content shared into a Circle is community content and may be moderated. Any member, including members ages 13–17, can report content or behavior that concerns them.

Appropriate church and Zuniva administrators may review reports and related moderation records.
Reports involving Circles with members ages 13–17 receive additional escalation handling beyond ordinary Circle moderation.
A person who is the subject of a report cannot review or decide that report.
We may remove content, pause participation, or close accounts that violate these Terms or endanger others.

Intellectual Property

The Zuniva application, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Zuniva, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the application without prior written consent.

Content & Conversations

Your conversations with Gideon may be stored and reviewed to improve service quality, ensure safety, and support product development. Content you share into a Circle is visible to that Circle and may be moderated. We recommend avoiding highly sensitive personal information that could identify you or others.

Private spiritual content — journal entries, gratitude entries, personal prayers, private notes, and Scripture annotations — is not available through normal product access to church administrators, Circle leaders, or Zuniva staff. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Account Deletion and Retention

You can delete your account from Settings inside the app, or request deletion from our account deletion page if you cannot sign in. Deletion permanently removes your account and your private, user-owned data. Content you shared with a Circle may remain visible to that Circle with your identity removed. A limited set of safety, security, and financial records is retained for defined periods, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Zuniva provides guidance for informational purposes only. We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on information provided by the application. Use the service at your own discretion.

Refunds & Cancellations

Subscription Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

Cancellation: When you cancel, you retain access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.

Refunds: We generally do not provide refunds for subscription payments. However, if you believe you've been charged in error or have experienced significant service issues, please contact us at support@zuniva.org within 14 days of the charge, and we will review your request.

Free Trial: If applicable, free trial periods allow you to evaluate the service before committing. You will not be charged until the trial period ends unless you cancel beforehand.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of Zuniva after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles.
